The sky is blue, the water is clean and blue, the island is green.
There are no clouds, it is a hot day and it's a beautiful day.
There are big boats and small boats and the trees are big and green,
I don’t know the trees type.
There is a person named Bob,
he is on a sailboat and going around the island to see the
beautiful island and the island name is boat island.

Bob is an explorer. He likes to explore islands to see if there are
now things on the island in the world. Then he so a rock fall into
the water it was blue he was amazed so he put has heard in
the water to see the rock but it was gone. Then he saw the
rock glow it is still there in the dark water.

Then there is a problem out of nowhere there were 3
Great white sharks. They are the biggest sharks in the world.
Then 500 piranhas came and they are huger.
He can not get to the blue rock.
The piranhas are blue and red and the great white
sharks had sharp scale on them.

So Bob call his boss to bring an Armoured submarine.
They arrived after 4 hours and the problem was still there.
They set up the submarine.
Then they went to get the blue rock after
1 hour they had the blue rock then the problem went away.

Christmas

This weekend I am going to put up a Christmas tree. We'll put it in our lounge and hang lights and candy canes on it.
My family might come to our house on Christmas day. I might buy some of my family presents if I get money.
I think that I am going to get a pool for Christmas as I saw it in the attic. We found a raft in the Waimak River near the forest so I will put it in my pool. There are no leaks in the raft.
When I wake up on Christmas morning, I get candy canes off the Christmas tree for breakfast. Once everyone is awake, my parents hand out the Christmas presents.
Sometimes on Christmas day we take a picnic to the Waimak River and it's really fun. Sometimes we just stay home on Christmas day. My granny, grandad, two aunties and three uncles come over to our house. Sometimes my uncle brings ice cream from the ice cream truck. My cousins come too if they aren't working.

where I go for holiday is the deepest part of the ocean

where I go for holiday is the deepest part of  the ocean. I'll be down there so I can see life down there like this to deep sea fish. I will be down there to be in peace and quiet and the dark. Anglerfish has big eyes and big teeth and they have a bright thing on it head to attract prey to eat. I want to be down there so I can be all by myself and say water is better than land.Related imageImage result for the deepest part of the ocean

P.E

At P.E we made our own games as a group. My group copy dodgeball but if you get out you must get to the other side of the field and the people in you group must throw a ball to you without touching the ground. The as term did softball but they use the frisbee as a bat and a dodgeball as a ball.

The equipment we had was 2 balls and 2 frisbee that was the equipment that we had.

The thing that went well was throwing the ball to the other players.

working as a team

On Thursday we were working as a team the game we were playing was pancake war I was protecting the team pancakes. The challenging thing in the game was making sure they didn't take the pancake and pancakes are not real they are fake. The rating I gave me for the game was 2/4 because I was still mean to the other team but not mean to my team.

1,2,3,4 is the level for the game respect he is a cart of it.

Level 1
Below the Level
Level 2
Working Towards the Level
Level 3
Working at the Level
Level 4
Exceeding the Level
I have a negative influence on the team.
The teacher has reminded me to get involved.
I get into arguments, and sometimes use nasty words.
I sometimes cheat.
I sometimes make a contribution to the team goal.
I sometimes need the teacher or my team mates to remind me to join in or try harder.
I try to use positive words and actions to encourage my team, but I find it hard.
I always make a contribution to the team goal.
I include myself in the team activity, and I include others.
I sometimes use positive words and actions to encourage my team.
I am a leader in making a contribution to the team goal.
I make sure I include everyone in what’s going on.
I am always encouraging, and my positive words and actions lift my team’s performance.

CIP

At CIP we have almost finished our outdoor classroom and it started raining so we whened inside and we did rock art. Here is my rock. I have made for the outdoor classroom. I did whales jumping out of the water and I did the, ocean on a 2D shape.

C.I.P

On week 8 of C.I.P in the outdoor classroom I was getting weeds out of the ground the roots where big and deep in the ground. It was like noodles in the ground. It was so hard to get them out, I only done 4.  In Kiwi Kaha we done a activity that we had to do a catchphrases and we finish the catchphrases sentence that was what we did at Kiwi Kaha. We are going to the Kiwi Kaha party because we have done enough points to go.

I hope we get the outdoor classroom done and it is so much fun to do gardening.

CIP

In period 2 I was pulling apart old things in the outdoor classroom we pulled apart old chairs and a old bed but that what I thought it was a old bed. In period 3 I was  in a greenhouse takeaway old concrete on the ground and under concrete the people that was with us find a garden spider on the ground and Jackson my friend picked it up and we put it out of the ways of the garden house. We pulled apart the old stuff because so we can burn the stuff we can burn and the stuff we cannot burn and we are not burning it the people that own the property dase the burning but where's the stuff we can offer we put their in the skip. we got the concrete out of the Greenhouse so we can get rid of the weeds.

water cycle

AIM: TO LOOK AT THE WATER CYCLE AND HOW CLIMATE CHANGE IS AFFECTING IT.

Definition: precipitation is bigger flooding storms and hurricanes.

evaporation is water vapour carbon dioxide condensation Oceans freshwater.

A green box with icons and white text. Text reads: Where is Earth's Water? 96.5 percent is in the oceans; 1.7 percent is in lakes, rivers, streams, and soil; 1.7 percent is in polar ice caps, glaciers, and permanent snow; 0.001 percent is in water vapor in Earth's atmosphere

Scientific words:

  • Evaporation. When water is heated by radiant energy it turns into water vapor.
  • Transpiration. Evaporation from plants.
  • Condensation. When water vapor cools, molecules join together and form clouds.
  • Precipitation. When clouds get heavy the waters falls as rain, sleet, hail, or snow.
  • Acidification: the action or process of making or becoming acidic.

We will be conducting an experiment that looks at the different ways that climate change is affecting the water cycle.
An illustration of the water cycle showing how water travels from rivers and streams to clouds to snow and back again

THE WATER CYCLE EXPERIMENT

Bag 1: Normal Water cycle
Bag 2: Water cycle with CO2 added: like Oceans in climate change
Bag 3: Water cycle with ice added: like Antarctica in climate change

Material:

  1. plastic bag
  2.  water
  3.  blue food coloring
  4. vivit

Steps:

  1.  draw the water cycle on the plastic bag
  2.  put one cup of water into the bag
  3.  put the blue food coloring in to the bag
  4.  shake the bag lightly
  5. hang it on the window when the sun mostly shine
  6. then wait.

TODAY YOU WILL BE INVESTIGATING THE EFFECTS THAT CLIMATE CHANGE HAS ON THE WATER CYCLE.

  1. Using your SOLO hexagons poster write a paragraph about the different aspects of climate change.
  2. Write about the following Climate Change concepts:
You can do these bu powerpoint, embedding a movie , on your blog, on a doc or any other form of presentation. It is up to you.

ACIDIFICATION: HOW DOES CLIMATE CHANGE CONTRIBUTE TO THE ACIDIFICATION OF OUR OCEANS?

Ocean acidification refers to decreasing levels of pH in the ocean, which makes the sea more acidic. It is the long-term change in seawater chemistry due to the absorption of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. Roughly 30 percent of human-made CO2 is absorbed by the oceans.

charlesworth reserve

On wednesday June 26 2019 we have bin doing CIP on CIP we do gardening and we are going to charlesworth reserve to help plant 100,000 tree because trees breath in carbon dioxide (and sunlight) and breath out oxygen.

The charlesworth reserve is named this because there was a person who came to christchurch from england and his name was captain william charlesworth who retired from being a ship captain and became a farmer. Capt Charlesworth brought a lot of land and he was the first man to buy that land. He turned the wetlands into a farm the reserve is named after him because he was the first person to buy this land other than the maoris who owned it before him.

here is some infomation from a website

history
“This 20 ha of land, separated from the estuary by Linwood Ave and Humphries Drive, was drained in the 1920s and used as pasture. Restoration began in 1991, when paddocks were cleared and planted, and tidal pools were re-created.
The reserve is comprised of a tidal basin with surrounding saltmeadow, saltmarsh, coastal shrubland and coastal bush. Its role is to provide nesting, roosting and feeding habitat for native and migratory birds, as well as provide habitat for fish, estuarine marine life, lizards and terrestrial invertebrates.
The space is also a valuable recreational area for the local community. Seats at viewing points overlook the pools which are a hotspot for wetland and wading birds, including the migratory bar-tailed godwit/kuaka.”
Volunteering

"Over 100,000 trees, shrubs and marsh plants have now been planted at this site and volunteers play a major role in caring for these.
Charlesworth Reserve is being actively restored by the Avon-Heathcote Ihutai Estuary Trust(external link), with support from Trees for Canterbury(external link), who donate and assist the planting of native vegetation. "
Where was the charlesworth reserve? It is in Christchurch.
Why is it important for me? Because trees eat carbon dioxide and I want to live whole live.
What was the place he was buried when he died? He was buried at woolston.
When/where born/die? He was born 1814 died at 1875.
Why that spot is named after him? Because he owns a lot of land and he was the first man to own that land.
Where was he born? He was born in England.

The name of the ship Captain william charlesworth arrived on the Brothers
We are planting 4 different type of plants here are the 4 plants
  1. Coprosma crassifolia thick-leaved coprosma or Coprosma crassifolia
  2. Coprosma propinqua mingmingi or Coprosma propinqua
  3. Coprosma robusta karamü or Coprosma robusta
  4. Cordyline australis ti köuka, cabbage tree or Cordyline australis
