audition

I am doing a audition and this is what i have chosen.

Pirate: Can I talk like a pirate?  Ay, matie!  Avast! Ahoy!  Aye-aye, I can!   Shiver me timbers! I can talk like a pirate better than any lily-livered, jelly-legged sea-goer that ever there once was!  I says whatever I’ve got to say in a pirate way and if any bilge-sucking buccaneer says I don’t, I’ll cleave him to the brisket!  I swear on Davy Jones’ Locker, to be a true blue pirate you’ve got to be able to load a cannon and fire it- but most important you’ve got to talk like a pirate!

Social studies

In social studies we have been watching Aotearoa history show and we have made a summary on episode 6.

Here is my summary I did for Aotearoa history Show episode 6.

The movement of the war was slow then it went bad.
One of the Maori had a Prophecy that an angel told him that Maori are gods
and he believed it and there land were there's.

The British made a small army to keep the Maori away.
The Maori killed 7 people in the army and the British furiated.
Same of the Maori were not in the NZ wars but they were mad about the
land deals.

The Maori thought that one of the British men were spying on the Maori
so the British killed Voxta.
They had a saying, take no prisoner.

The NZ wars lasted 20 years.
There were blood battles in the NZ wars.
Same British government killed the Maori people and the soldiers said
“it is a murder to kill our people children and kind.

Maori were fighting other Maori because of religion.

Te Kote got sent to the Chathams (new Pai Marere leader) he attacked a Maori
Village he killed 60 people and when the Maori ambushed him they killed 120
of Te Kote men and the leftover men left him.
Te Toku Ware did not wanted to be in the war but to you the fighting genius.

science beef jerky

In science class we have been working on how to make beef jerky.

In class we have made beef jerky.

My one looks like it is going to full of the string.

This is the step of what i did.

 Ingredients and equipment
Salt,Meat, peg, somewhere to hang the meat and a knife.

  1. Get all of the ingredients and equipment.
  2. Cut the steak one cm thick.
  3. Pinch a little bit of salt on one side of the meat.
  4. Flip it around and then pinch a little bit of salt on that side.
  5. Hang it up on a string line with a peg.
  6. Wait 3 days.
  7. Done!!!
  8. Eat it.

Here is a image of the beef jerky that is ready for hanging.

Results: I saw meat that looked like a dark oak tree from minecraft, I heard a wet stick was broken,I felt like oily meat.

I did not want to eat it.

here is a photo of the beef jerky

Salt is the reason for the meat to dry out,the reason way is?

Thick that is salt has a knife and cuts the cell wall and the salt is going to osmosis the water from the bacteria and it will die and that is how the meat can be dried and less can be  edible around a mouth.
