Hello this blog post is about the work i have done in the past week's. Aim: Our goal was to find out the volts amps and resist. There are 20 bulbs and 5 rooms. 0.5 A, 500 R, 200 V. I enjoyed the project and I would use lesser blubs then what i used. volt is what moves and the amps is how fast it moved and resistance is what stops the volts moving. the area is 88 sqm. the perimeter of the house is 37 M

Electroplating with copper

Hello today in science I made my key be plated with copper, this is how i did it.

1. In groups of 3 to 4, gather together a power supply, 2 wires with clips, copper sulfate solution, copper, somting you want to plate, tall beaker.

2. put your clips onto the positive and negative terminals of your power supply. attach the copper to the positive wire and the metal you want to plate to the negative wire.

3. put the copper sulfate solution in a tall beaker and put the copper and item in the solution. Avoid the clips entering the solution.

4. set your power supply to 6 volts and turn it on! leave for several minutes.

                                           result:

Copper in the Blue solution was.
Blue: cu 2+, with and electical current turned into Cu on the negative electrode

badminton

For the past two weeks, we have been playing badminton in PE. Today I am going to tell you how to score a game of badminton.

You can play badminton in singles or pairs. There are smaller lines for a single match and wider/deeper lines for a doubles match.

If you hit the shuttlecock over to the opposition side, and they don’t hit it, but it lands within the court lines, you score a point.

If a server is unsuccessful in hitting the shuttlecock over the net, it’s a point to the other team and they get the next serve.

If you hit the shuttlecock out of the lines/court, it’s a point to the other team.

If you don’t hit the shuttlecock, or don’t hit it back over the net, and it falls to the ground on your side of the court, it’s a point to the other team.

The first team to reach 21 points wins the game. There are usually 3 games played, so you might win 3-0, 2-1 or 2-0.

If the teams are both on 20 points in a game, the winner must get two points ahead to win, eg, 22-20.

HEC cooking

In cooking with lock down my task is to write and make a food and I have done stuffed potatoes.

Ingredients:

6 Large Potatoes
6 Slices of Bacon diced
Half a Onion diced
6 Mushrooms sliced
Cup of grated Cheese
50g Butter softened
Half cup Sour Cream
Extra Cheese grated

Method:

Stab your potatoes all over with a fork, place in the microwve for 10 - 12 minutes until cooked though.
Cook your bacon, mushrooms and onions while potatoes are cooking, se aside.
Once the potatoes are cooked slice the tops of and scoup out the insides into a large bowl, (Be careful the potatoes will be hot).
Add the cheese, butterand sourcream to the potatoes and mush them together.
Add the coooked bacon mixture and stir.
Spoon the mixture back into the potato skins and top with extra cheese.
Bake for 12 - 15 minutes or until the cheese is golden on top.

The texture was smoth with crispy bit of bacon and I did not add mushrooms because I don't like them.

It is my Mom recipe, my Granny used to make them for my Mom when she was a kid.

The bit that was the hard's was geting the cooked potato out of the skin because the skin was easy to break.

staic electricity

Today in lockdown i had to do work and answer questions about static electricity.

  1. What are the 3 particles that make up everything? Which ones have positive and negative charge? negatively charged electrons, positively charged electrons, neutral electrons.

  2. Objects want to be “electrically neutral”. What does this mean? to be normal.

  3. When you rub an two insulators you can get a static shock, so what is an insulator and a conductor? metal and salt water

  4. What is an example of static electricity? Static Electricity | S-cool, the revision website

diffuion of potassium permanganate

Equipment : Tweezers, pertri dish, kmnO4

question/aim : does temperature speed up or slow down diffusion? the hotter the water the fast the water particles move and clod water make it go slower.

result/obsenation: cold water was slow and the hot water was fast.

conclusion: the particles in the hot water are moving faster then cold that mean the diffusion will happen faster then cold water.Diffusion of Potassium Permanganate in Hot and Cold Water - YouTube

candle rising water

The aim: to see what happens to the water level when the candle is covered.

What we use in the experiment.

dish, candle, matches/lighter, cup, water.

hypothesis: I thought that the water will rise.

Results: the water rise up.

conclusion/why: when the candle was not light it was cold in the cup and it was low pressure and when the candle was light it was hot that means it is high pressure because fire need fuel and o2 because it is in the cup it will run out of o2 so it will make it low pressure so it will make the water rise.

navigation questions in space

Hello I am going to do the questions that I have been given by my teacher.

Question 1

What is a solar system? what is a the Milky Way an example of?

A solar system is when there is a gravitational pull around the sun and things like planets and objects are circling the suns.

The Milky Way is part of a lot of galaxies combined that is called Virgo super cluster.

Question 2

What is a star? describe a Nebula.

A star is a lot of gases that has build up for the gas that has came for a star the blew up or a solar system that blew up but the gas is compressed and then the gases will heat up. the gases used to make a star is hydrogen helium. when a star runs out of one of the gases it will start changing colour.

A nebula is a cloud dust that is made out of gases like hydrogen and helium it is what a star is made out of.
